“19 of My All Time Favorite Songs”

Hello there!

While experiencing writer’s block, I like to post some updates about me and my life. Today I wanted to bring back a Facebook challenge from 2010 when people were asked to post their top nineteen favorite songs. I stumbled across my original post which I must have rushed because I forgot so many favorites! Music is one of my greatest influences, so I wanted to use this as a chance to update my list.

2019 Concluded

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say that I can’t believe last year has ended already! I just began this blog in 2018, and suddenly it’s 2020! This month I reached 100 followers, and to celebrate, I acquired this new domain! I also launched an Instagram account if you wanted to follow my posts: @dollurban_

100

Last year I posted a recap mid-year because I was experiencing writer’s block. It encouraged me to see that people were still reading my blog after two months of me not posting, and I wanted to let all my followers know that I would be posting soon. So when I wasn’t in class, at work, or writing, I was busy making memories!

2009 – 2019

2005 – 2019

My husband and I purchased a new house and car!

I then redid both of our bathrooms by myself.

Overall, I would say I had a productive year!

If anyone is curious about what music inspired me last year, you can find my top 100 songs of 2019 below:

It’s All I Deserve

August 19th, 2009

The music’s playing, taking control of me. Off across the country, off to where I don’t know. Off to find myself, find a comfort zone. Looking for something in someone, looking for something in me, looking for the music that’ll help set me free. Friendship is a loss of privacy, giving someone just as much of the ability to destroy you as the one you love. Cutting deep, feel the knife penetrate your body, almost to mix you up and leave you where you belong. Leaving you bleeding, searching for help, finding nothing. Looking in the mirror, there’s nothing you see that’s worth it, it’s those people you’re here for, but once they’re gone, why are you still here. Blast the music louder, too loud to hear your own thoughts, don’t be yourself, they don’t like you that way. Block out the sound, block out the music, block out the buzzing, the silence, leave me with nothing. This is all I have, I never wanted this, but the love broke me and I gave myself up for a cold-hearted soul that sucked the life from me and left me with all the nothing I deserve.
